The Lost Files

The Lost Files are exactly as the name states - lost. What you are listening to is all that remains of the original music created, the original WAV test renders.

All of the tracks on this album were produced between 2000 and 2006 using a desktop PC, running FL Studio, and an Evolution MK-461C midi keyboard. They are just a small selection of all the tracks I had produced during this period, some complete, some not. There must have been a couple of hundred tracks stored on the PC and external hard drives, but only a small amount existed as WAV renders.

One day, during a complete back up, the PC I was working with decided to... Well, die on me. The famous blue screen of death lit up before me, and many a curse word was vocalised for several minutes. But this was only the start of what would become a very angry and upsetting few days. I had lost everything. All the files for my design work, my illustrations, my written work, and of course, all the FL Studio project files. Even the software installed on the PC was either missing or needed to be reinstalled. But the biggest shocker, was that the same thing had happened to the two external hard drives connected to the PC during its "death". All the back ups were gone, deleted without a trace, leaving just the aforementioned WAV test renders on a couple of dozen discs.

Everything had been deleted. FL Studio, all the plugins, all the samples and software, and most importantly, all the project files had disappeared. Even though certain things could be reinstalled
and set up again, the original files I needed were gone. Lost forever.

So, after ten years, and a lot of praise, I decided to choose a selection of tracks from the numerous CD's filled with the test renders just sitting on the shelf, dust them off, try to clean them up (where possible) and release them to the masses.

I hope you enjoy what you are listening to, and will continue to support further recordings from the musical project that is, The Guilty Spark.
